Description

Bernard Baudry's Chinon Le Domaine is a 100% Cabernet franc from the Loire Valley. After completing his oenology studies in Beaune, Bernard Baudry founded his Domaine in 1975. The company cultivates 32 hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Cravant, where the vines grow on very different soils. With the separate vinifications of the various vineyard plots, the company is able to successfully express the Chinon terroir.

After the manual harvesting of the grapes, these are fermented in concrete vats for two weeks, followed by a 15-month maturation in concrete or oak wood vats and a further ageing in the bottle for 2 years.

In the glass the wine is ruby red with purple veins. On the nose there are aromas of red fruits and citrus notes. In the mouth the wine has a good body, with well-smoothed tannins.

The ideal combination is with cold cuts appetizers, with beef carpaccio and with grilled white meats.
