Description
The Chianti Vitruviano of Cantine da Vinci belongs to the Vitruviano collection and is born on the rolling Tuscan hills of Vinci, Cerreto Guidi and the neighboring towns, located in the province of Florence.
The wine is a blend of grapes, although Sangiovese is the dominant grape. The grapes are vinified in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, where the maceration lasts about 8 days. During the vinification, numerous pumping over and délestage are carried out, for the optimal extraction of aromas. Ageing always takes place in the tank until the following March.
In the glass, the wine is of an intense purple red colour. The nose has fruity notes of cherry, with spicy notes, especially black pepper. The taste is warm and structured, with evident but quite soft tannins.
Chianti Vitruviano pairs well with rich cold cuts appetizers, pasta with meat sauce, roasts and grilled red meats.
