Description

The Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina dei Marchesi Antinori was born in vineyards located in the heart of the renowned Chianti DOCG.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with grapes of other complementary vines, harvested and selected only by hand. The fermentation takes place, with maceration, separate for the different grape varieties: the most consistent part vinifies for 10-12 days at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C to enrich itself in complexity. The other part for 7-8 days at maximum temperatures of 25 ° C to extract more soft tannins and preserve fruit aromas. Subsequently, the whole mass is aged for 10 months in steel and wood before being bottled.

This Chianti Superiore is characterized by a ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of red fruit that recalls cherry, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is tasty, with well integrated tannins and a red fruit aftertaste that follows the sensations perceived by the nose.

Perfect to accompany roast meat and game, it is ideal in combination with first courses and aged cheeses.
