Description
Chianti Superiore comes from medium-textured soils with a good presence of Castello del Trebbio skeleton.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for a period of at least 6 months and for a further 6 months in steel.
Ruby red in color, it has clear and captivating aromas of small red fruits, supported by floral notes and some spicy hints. On the palate it is enveloping with well integrated but present tannins. It has a good structure and good freshness in the finish.
Excellent in combination with appetizers such as Tuscan cold cuts and croutons, but also pasta dishes with meat sauce and grilled red meat main courses.
