Description
The Chianti Rùfina Government of Villa Travignoli is produced on the north-eastern hills of Chianti a few kilometers from the city of Florence.
Occupying the Rufina area, the vines located on calcareous and clayey soils enjoy excellent southern exposure and an altitude between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. After the harvest conducted during the first half of October, the grapes are transported to the cellar where the fermentation is carried out in steel at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28 ° C for 10 days. Some clusters are left to dry on bamboo racks and added to the wine fermented in steel. This is followed by 9 months of aging in wood.
Ruby red in color, it has ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum on the nose, followed by a light roasting and notes of coffee. The finish is full and spicy for a tasty wine with a compact sip, with excellent persistence and soft tannins.
Ideal wine if accompanied with roasts and grilled meats, it is the right choice for regional cuisine and game.
