Description
Chianti Rùfina by Colognole was born in the small DOCG area located in the province of Florence.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, left to macerate for 10–12 days at a controlled temperature of 27 °C with frequent aging and pumping over. Sangiovese is aged for 15 months in Slavonian and French oak barrels, while Colorino stays for 12 months in second-passage Allier oak barriques. Bottle ageing follows.
This Chianti Rùfina is a wine with a good intensity ruby red colour. The nose has pleasant fruity hints, enriched with well-harmonized wood notes, resulting from the passage in the barrel. On the palate, it reveals a full taste, with a good structure.
Thanks to its characteristics, it is a wine particularly suitable in combination with first courses based on meat sauce, or to accompany grilled or grilled meats.
