Description
The Ruffino Organic Chianti DOCG is produced with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes.
The grapes are obtained from vineyards grown on soils composed of marl and located at an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level. After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in steel for 10 days with maceration and pumping over. This is followed by a further ageing of a few months in steel and concrete before a further storage in the bottle for 3 months prior to marketing.
Ruby red in colour with violet hues, it has an aromatic profile of medium intensity, with notes of violet and cherry. Compact and fruity on the palate, it is fresh with references to red fruits and moderate tannins before showing a medium-long persistence.
Perfect with red meats, with first courses based on meat sauce and savoury appetizers based on aged cheeses and fresh cold cuts.
