Description

The Chianti Riserva Fagiano di Uggiano was born in vineyards located on the Florentine hills.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C, for 10-15 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, for another 6-8 months in oak barrels and finally 12 months in glass before being released on the market.

It has a burgundy red color. The nose opens with a large bouquet of black cherry, berries and violet, enriched with evident notes of vanilla. On the palate it is consistent and round, with a pleasantly tannic aftertaste.

This red is perfect in combination with typical Tuscan dishes: pici with meat sauce, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, tripe, lampredotto and stewed game.
