Description

The Chianti Castiglioni branded Frescobaldi was born in the vineyards of the homonymous estate, located in the Chianti DOCG area.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C, for 11 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in steel for 6 months with micro-oxygenation, then rests for 30 days in the bottle before being marketed.

In the glass it has a ruby red color with violet reflections, very clear and of good consistency. The bouquet is complex, characterized by fruity notes of cherry and strawberry, enriched with floral shades of pink and violet. In the mouth it is soft, warm and intense, with a pleasantly long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany tasty first courses, such as pappardelle with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with roasted chicken, red meats with vegetables and aged cheeses.
