Description
The Chianti Colli Senesi of Tenute del Cerro is born in vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Montepulciano, in Tuscany.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Merlot and Colorino grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration for 8-10 days, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for 3 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a further period of aging in steel before bottling.
This Chianti Colli Senesi has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with evident hints of black cherry and cherry, enriched with pleasant balsamic and herbaceous notes. On the palate it is full and soft, medium-bodied and with a good persistence.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, this red wine is ideal in combination with mushrooms, stews and white meats.
