Description
The Chianti Colli Fiorentini di Uggiano was born in vineyards located on the Florentine hills.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes, with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C, for 10-15 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 6-8 months in wooden barrels and in the bottle for another 6-8 months before being placed on the market.
Chianti Colli Fiorentini di Uggiano is characterized by a lively ruby red colour. The nose opens with pleasant hints of violet, cherry and black cherry, enriched by delicate spicy notes. In the mouth it is dry and harmonious, with a clean finish and a pleasantly persistent aftertaste.
Ideal in combination with typical Tuscan dishes such as tortelli and croutons, this red is perfect to accompany stewed and grilled meats, cured meats and stewed tripe.
