Description
The Chianti Colli Fiorentini of Malenchini which is born in the area of Antella, in the province of Florence, and is a wine that demonstrates the particular vocation of the place of origin. The vines from which it originates are located at a height of 200-300 meters above sea level, on medium-textured clayey soils.
Composed mostly of Sangiovese grapes with small additions of Canaiolo, it ferments with maceration on the skins for about 13 days in steel at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C. The aging involves the use of new oak barrels, in which the wine rests for 6 months, followed by 3 months of aging in glass.
Intrigues for its vivid ruby red color, embellished with violet reflections. The bouquet of aromas that envelops the nose is broad and intense, with references to red berry fruit, in particular cherry. On the palate it is full and structured, with good persistence, with well integrated tannins.
It is a splendid accompaniment to land appetizers, first courses with meat sauce and second courses based on red meat.
