Description
The Chianti Classico Villa Antinori Riserva dei Marchesi Antinori represents a historical label and a wine with a long tradition for the Antinori family.
It is mainly produced from Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes, harvested and selected manually between the end of September and the beginning of October. Subsequently the grapes were de-stemmed and softly pressed. After a fast alcoholic fermentation of the wine, maceration took place for about 12 days. The blend made at the end of the malolactic fermentation was aged in fine wood. The aging of the wine took place in oak barrels and in first and second passage barriques before being bottled.
The Chianti Classico Villa Antinori Riserva is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of ripe red fruits such as currant, raspberry and cherry, enriched with delicate hints of cinnamon and candied fruit. On the palate it is harmonious, round and pleasantly acid. The soft tannins make it very pleasant on the finish.
Perfect to combine with all dishes based on red meat and mushrooms, it is ideal to serve with aged cheeses.
