Description

The Chianti Classico Riserva Vallepicciola is produced in the Castelnuovo Berardenga area from 100% Sangiovese grapes.

The vines are grown on clayey-calcareous soils with the presence of marl and alberese positioned at about 400 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place during the first weeks of October and the selected grapes ferment in small steel vats at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels, followed by aging in large barrels of 18-20 months before refining in the bottle for another six months.

Intense ruby red in color, it offers notes of raspberry, black cherry and cherry to the nose with pleasant spicy returns of cinnamon and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is warm and with silky tannins, excellent structure and a finish of long persistence. with soft tannins and good persistence.

Ideal for first courses based on red sauces, grilled meats, game and aged cheeses.
