Description
The Campitello di Monteraponi is a Chianti Classico Riserva which originates from a vineyard - the Campitello vineyard - located in the Radda in Chianti area and cultivated according to an organic system.
Campitello is located at an altitude of 420 meters and is defined by a clayey soil rich in galestro, inhabited by vines with 40 years of age. Following the soft pressing of the grapes and maceration, alcoholic fermentation is spontaneously triggered by indigenous yeasts, as well as malolactic fermentation. The wine ages for 30 months in 30 hl French oak barrels and for a further 3 months in cement tanks.
It is defined by an intense ruby red color and a perfume that plays on fruity and toasted notes. It recalls blackberry, cherry and raspberry, but also earth, tobacco and coffee. The sip is full-bodied, marked by a vivid freshness and a pronounced tannin. The finesse recurs in all its components, resulting in an elegant and never disappointing taste.
Perfect to accompany a plate of pappardelle with wild boar ragout.
