Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva di Badia a Coltibuono was born in the vineyards of Poggino, Vignone, Montebello and Argenina, located in Monte in Chianti, in the province of Siena. Wine of ancient tradition, the Riserva is produced only in the best vintages.
It is produced with Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo and Colorino grapes, grown in organic farming and harvested manually between the second half of September and the first half of October. The grapes ferment naturally on indigenous yeasts and then macerate for at least three weeks on the skins, with punching down. The wine evolves for 24 months in French and Austrian oak barrels, then it is aged 4 months in bottle.
This Riserva has an intense ruby red color. The nose offers balsamic notes, accompanied by floral hints, cherries in alcohol, licorice and chocolate. On the palate it is warm and pleasant, with a harmonious balance between great freshness and full body.
Perfect to accompany roasts, game and aged cheeses.
