Description

The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione The Gray of San Felice comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with grapes from other native vines, harvested in the second week of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for about 22 days. Subsequently the wine ages for about 24 months in barrique and for another 8 months in bottle before being released on the market.

It is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense floral bouquet, with ample and persistent hints of violet and blackcurrant and pleasant aromas of licorice and tobacco. On the palate it is full-bodied and well-structured, with soft and juicy tannins.

Perfect to accompany roasts and grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
