Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Badia a Passignano di Antinori was born in vineyards located in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand between the end of September and the first week of October. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks for about 10 days, with maceration on the skins for another 10-12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in Hungarian oak barrels and further bottled, before being placed on the market.
This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a large and intense bouquet characterized by fruity and woody notes, enriched with balsamic and graphite hints. In the mouth it proves rich, with sweet and soft tannins that accompany a pleasantly persistent and fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany stewed meats and spicy dishes, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses, cold cuts and typical cold cuts of the Tuscan tradition.
