Description

The extra virgin olive oil is a Tuscan EVO oil produced from the olive trees owned by Valle Picciola, a young company located in the Pievasciata area, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena.

The extra virgin olive oil of Valle Picciola is produced from the Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio cultivars. The manual harvest of the olives usually takes place from the beginning of November. The pressing is mechanical, with cold pressing and centrifuge and filtration.

Valle Picciola extra virgin olive oil has an elegant and soft flavour, with a marked spicy note which tends to diminish after a few months of rest in the bottle. It is also characterized by herbaceous and bitter notes.

This extra virgin olive oil is excellent raw for seasoning all types of dishes, such as bruschetta and pappa al pomodoro.
