Description
Extra virgin olive oil is a Tuscan EVO oil produced from the olive trees owned by Valle Picciola, a young company located in the Pievasciata area, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena.
The extra virgin oil from Valle Picciola is produced from the Moraiolo, Leccino, and Frantoio cultivars. The manual harvesting of the olives typically takes place starting from early November. The crushing process is mechanical, involving cold pressing and centrifugation, followed by filtration.
Valle Picciola's extra virgin olive oil has an elegant and smooth flavor, with a pronounced peppery note that tends to diminish after a few months of resting in the bottle. It is also characterized by herbal and bitter notes.
This extra virgin olive oil is excellent raw for dressing all types of dishes, such as bruschetta and pappa al pomodoro.
