Description

The Chianti Classico of Castello di Volpaia originates from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot vines, with a strong predominance of the former, cultivated by vineyards suited to the Chianti Classico area that insist on hills of sandstone and sandy soils mixed with silt.

After the manual harvest carried out between the second half of September and the first half of October, the vinification takes place in thermo-conditioned steel tanks. The wine ages in cask for 12 months.

The color is intense ruby red. The nose opens on clear fruity sensations of blackberry and cherry in alcohol. On the palate it expresses all its structure and softness with an evident fruity aftertaste.

It is perfect with legume soups, braised meats and roast meats. Also excellent in the company of a platter with mixed cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses.
