Description

The Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano originates on the gentle slopes of Gaiole in Chianti, from vineyards facing south-west whose shape resembles that of an amphitheater: this particular shape of the plants favors the insolation and concentration of heat. The set of soil and climatic conditions, such as altitude, exposure and slopes of the vineyards, represents a unicum in the Chianti landscape and gives the wine unmistakable characteristics.

After a strictly manual harvest, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Secondly, the wine ages partly in wood, where it acquires its olfactory profile and partly in the bottle.

It is a wine that bewitches the sight with its bright purple color. The nose is wrapped in floral and fruity hints, with notes of berries and cherry that softly fade towards a slightly balsamic and spicy finish. The sip is intense, fleshy and the palate is clean and fresh.

Excellent as a pairing with first courses with elaborate ragù, it marries marvelously with red meats and medium and long-aged cheeses.
