Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva La Forra di Folonari was born inside the Tenuta di Nozzole, located in the Sienese municipality of Gaiole in Chianti.
It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in the second half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel wine vessels at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C, with maceration in contact with the skins for 20 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 20 months in Slavonian oak barrels and in bottle for at least 4 months, before being marketed.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with hints of marasca and violet, which are well integrated with elegant notes of spices and black truffle. On the palate it is dry and deep, with a pleasantly persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats accompanied by a side dish of mushrooms, it is ideal in combination with shallots and baked potatoes.
