Description
The Chianti Classico Brolio reserve of Barone Ricasoli comes from a selection of grapes grown in vineyards located in Gaiole in Chianti, in the Chianti Classico area.
It is produced 80% with Sangiovese grapes, 15% with Merlot grapes and 5% with Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24 - 27 ° C, with maceration on the skins for 12-16 days. The wine ages for 16 months in barriques and barrels, then it is aged in bottle for 3 months before being placed on the market.
Brolio is a traditional reserve with a strong Chianti character. It has an intense ruby red color and the nose opens with pleasantly toasted notes of vanilla and chocolate, enriched with shades of violet and cherry. In the mouth it is soft and warm, with an aftertaste of cherry and spices. Mineral and robust wine, it has a long and persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with red meats, especially if cooked on the grill or on the grill, it is ideal to accompany game and game dishes.
