Description

The Chianti Classico Pèppoli was born in the vineyards of the Marquis Antinori estate of the same name, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28 °C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 9 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and a small part in barrique before being bottled.

It has a ruby red colour with purple reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of violet, enriched with hints of cherry and raspberry, with smoky shades given by the ageing in wood. On the palate it is balanced, with soft tannins and excellent flavour.

Perfect to accompany with roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses, cold cuts and salami.
