Description
Poggerino's Chianti Classico Nuovo comes from vineyards located in Poggerino, in the heart of Radda in Chianti.
It is produced solely with Sangiovese grapes, which are harvested manually at the end of September. Fermentation follows in thermo-controlled cement tanks with native yeasts which lasts approx. 35 days. The wine then ages in cement Nomblot egg for 12 months.
Chianti Classico Nuovo has a bright ruby red colour. The nose is expressed with aromas of cherry, blackberry, currant enriched with notes of licorice and vanilla. The sip is powerful, with sweet and persistent tannins.
Excellent with grilled red meats, it also goes well with rich roasts and aged cheeses.
