Description
The Chianti Classico Monticello di Colombaio di Cenci was born on the Tuscan hills in the locality of Cornia, Montelodoli and Vinci.
The manual harvest of the Sangiovese grapes takes place between September and October. The grapes are de-stemmed and softly pressed, and then proceed to their vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. The aging of the wine takes place in tonneaux and large barrels for 9 months.
Ruby red in color, on the nose the wine releases hints of violet and red rose, ripe red fruit and spices. The sip is fresh and elegant, with a savory, mineral and persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with red meats and game both stewed and roasted, as well as aged cheeses.
