Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vineyard The Casuccia di Castello di Ama was born in vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, in Tuscany.
It is produced with Merlot and Sangiovese grapes, harvested entirely by hand between September and October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration for 26 days, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30-33 ° C. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 9 months in Allier oak barrels, partly new.
This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione has a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with fruity hints of wild cherry, enriched with notes of licorice, tobacco and mint. On the palate it is rich and elegant, with an excellent balance and well integrated tannins.
Perfect to accompany roasts and grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
