Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Bellavista Vineyard in Castello di Ama was born in vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, in Tuscany.
It is produced with Malvasia Nera and Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration for 26 days, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 15 months in Allier oak barrels, partly new.
This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione has a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with evident spicy hints that blend very well with hints of ripe fruit, including wild cherry and currant, along with notes of licorice, mint and tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and harmonious, of clear elegance.
Perfect to accompany roasts and legume soups, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
