Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Capannino di Bibbiano was born in vineyards located in Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG.
It is produced entirely with Sangiovese Grosso grapes, harvested manually in the first days of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately 25 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 24 months, partly in French oak tonneaux and partly in concrete, and for another 6 months in the bottle.
Vigna del Capannino di Bibbiano is characterized by a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense and complex bouquet, with pleasant fruity sensations of black cherry and cherry, enriched by hints of tobacco, cocoa and black pepper combined with balsamic and mineral notes. On the palate it is structured and powerful, but also fine and elegant, evidently savory and with sweet and silky tannins that accompany it towards a persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany first courses and grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
