Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Valore di Famiglia is a red wine produced by the Cecchi family. This wine is made exclusively with Sangiovese grapes from the Palagione vineyard, part of the historic Villa Rosa, located in Castellina in Chianti. The vineyard, characterized by soil rich in alberese and pebbles with slopes of over 35%, offers an authentic reflection of the Tuscan terroir.
The winemaking takes place in the traditional way in red, with controlled fermentation at temperatures between 25 and 28°C. The fermentation process lasts six days, followed by a 20-day maceration on the skins to best extract the aromas and tannins. The wine is aged for 15 months in oak tonneaux and a further three months in concrete, before resting in the bottle for at least a year.
This wine has a pale ruby red color, revealing delicate aromas on the nose and a velvety entry on the palate that develops enveloping. The development is enriched by a light flavor that preludes a long and persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with roasts, game and mature cheeses, this wine proves to be an excellent choice to enhance the rich flavors of Italian cuisine.
