Description
Castello di Bossi's Chianti Classico is made with Sangiovese grapes from vineyards with an average age of 18 years, located 350 meters above sea level, with a south-west exposure, in Tuscany. The soil is composed of yellow clay, tuff and stones, elements that give the wine a robust and complex structure.
The harvest takes place between September and October. The grapes ferment at temperatures of 28-30°C, with a 14-day maceration to best extract the characteristics of Sangiovese. The refinement takes place for 12 months in barrel and another 12 months in bottle, giving the wine an elegant evolution before being released for sale.
Deep purple in color, this Chianti Classico stands out for its aromas of cherry and berries, accompanied by notes of spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is balanced, with soft tannins and a lively acidity that makes it pleasant and easy to drink. The finish is classic and persistent.
It pairs perfectly with Florentine steak, lasagna Bolognese and stuffed peppers.
