Description
The Chianti Classico Brolio di Barone Ricasoli was born in vineyards located on the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, in the Chianti Classico area.
It is produced 80% with Sangiovese grapes, 15% with Merlot grapes and 5% with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24-27 ° C, with maceration on the skins for 12-16 days. The wine is placed in barriques and barrels, where it ages for 9 months, then undergoes 6 months of aging in bottle before being placed on the market.
Brolio combines the great drinkability typical of young Chianti Classico with a complex and full structure. With an intense ruby red color, it opens to the nose with fresh and floral hints including notes of chinotto, violet and mimosa, which evolve into fruity nuances of black cherry and sweet mint aromas. In the mouth it is fresh and pleasant, with fine tannins and a pleasant aftertaste of ripe red fruits and spices. Overall it is a very elegant wine.
Perfect to accompany cold cuts, cold cuts and first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
