Description
The Chianti Classico of the Borgo Scopeto company comes from vineyards located at an altitude of between 360 and 450 meters above sea level. The perfect exposures and the optimal composition of the soils give this wine its typical characteristics. The label represents the historical core of the estate in Tuscany, once belonging to the Sienese dynasty of the Sozzini.
The vinification involves a separate alcoholic fermentation for the different grapes, lasting 6 days at temperatures between 28 and 30 °C, followed by delestage and pumping over. The prolonged contact with the fine skins is maintained for a further 10 days, followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
With a deep ruby red color, this wine opens to the nose with a broad and intense bouquet, sweet and fruity, characterized by notes of small black berries, noble wood, vanilla and cocoa, with a surprising cherry finish. On the palate it is dry, well structured and elegant, with good harmony and excellent persistence.
Ideal to accompany dry soups, all types of meat and medium-aged cheeses.
