Description
Chianti Classico Borgo is a red wine born from the encounter between Sangiovese and Pugnitello grapes, grown in the vineyards of Tenuta San Felice in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena. The soils, rich in skeleton with a prevalence of clay of calcareous-marly origin, favor the production of a wine that fully expresses the character of the Tuscan territory.
The vinification takes place in steel for two weeks, with the varieties vinified separately. The refinement continues for about 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, giving the wine a robust structure and a well-defined aromatic complexity.
It presents itself with a freshness and a richness of fruity and floral aromas, accompanied by sweet tannins that lead to a persistent and balanced finish. On the palate it is versatile and energetic, maintaining a good complexity and a decisive character.
This Chianti Classico pairs beautifully with red meat dishes, roasts and mature cheeses, enhancing the flavours of traditional Tuscan cuisine.
