Description
Bastioni is a red wine produced in Chianti Classico and is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Malvasia Nera. The soil is clayey limestone, rich in stone and well drained.
The harvest is manual with an immediate transfer to the cellar, where a manual sorting of the grapes takes place. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 25°C, while the malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in steel tanks. The refinement lasts 15 months in barrels and tanks, followed by 3 months in the bottle.
The color is intense and brilliant ruby, with faint garnet reflections. On the nose it presents notes of black cherry compote, small red berries and spices. On the palate it is savory and complex, with a present and captivating tannic structure, and a long finish.
It pairs beautifully with meat dishes, tasty first courses and mature cheeses.
