Description

The I Terzieri box set produced by Geografico tells the story of three variations of Sangiovese originating from municipalities formerly called "Terzieri" and corresponding to the current areas of Radda, Gaiole and Castellina in Chianti.

From Radda in Chianti comes the Terziere di Tramontana , produced with Sangiovese from vineyards with an average age of 15 years and aged 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months. With grapes from Gaiole comes the Terziere di Levante, produced with vines of the same average age and capable of producing a wine aged 12 months in medium-toasted Allier barrels. The vineyards grown in the Castellina in Chianti area to produce the Terziere di Ponente are older.

Chianti Tramontano has a captivating ruby color with notes of blackcurrant and raspberry, black cherry and tobacco. Intense, fresh and accompanied by a pleasant savory note. Beautiful ruby color for Chianti Levante , with hints of black cherry, berries and black pepper, while the tannin is vivid for a juicy and intense sip, with lively balsamic notes. Closing the selection is Chianti Ponente , ruby color with purple reflections, red fruits on the nose such as strawberries and raspberries. On the palate it retains a beautiful floral freshness, for a clean and dry sip.

All are to be tasted for a perfect Chianti Classico experience and to discover their extreme versatility when accompanied with red meat dishes and tasty first courses of Mediterranean cuisine.
