Description

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hérédita by Cellier des Princes is a blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre. The vineyard from which it originates develops on land characterized by rounded quartzite pebbles on a subsoil of red clay. The grapes are selected from the most suitable and ancient slopes in Courthezon, in the Rhone Valley.

The harvest takes place exclusively by hand once the right level of ripeness has been reached. Fermentation takes place for 35 days with daily punching down, at a controlled temperature, then the wine matures for 12 months in large wooden barrels, with further refinement in the bottle.

It has a rich and intense red color. On the nose, the wine stands out for its intensity and refinement, with notes of kirsch, black fruits such as blueberries and cherries, and sweet spices. On the palate, it offers a smooth and powerful structure, with fine tannins and a very long finish.

It pairs perfectly with meats in sauce, game such as deer fillet, roasted wild boar, confit duck and fine cheeses.
