Description
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hauts des Coteaux is a wine from the Rhone Valley. The vineyards are located in elevated positions on rounded pebble soil, mainly in Courthezon, Bedarrides and Sorgues. The grapes, a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, come from vines over 60 years old.
The harvest is carried out manually once the correct level of ripeness has been reached. Fermentation takes place for 25 days at a controlled temperature, followed by 12 months of aging in oak barriques, a third of which are new, and a further period in the bottle.
It has an intense ruby red color. On the nose it offers an elegant bouquet made of vanilla aromas, toasted notes and liquorice. On the palate the tannins are soft and silky, leading to a long, spicy and elegant finish.
Perfect in combination with meats in sauce such as boeuf bourguignon, venison fillets with blueberry sauce or refined cheeses, this wine enhances the richness of flavors, promising a unique gastronomic experience, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates.
