Description
The Cuvée Impériale of Domaine Usseglio Raymond & Fils is composed mostly of Grenache Noir, with a small addition of ancient vines included in the denomination. The grapes come from old centenary vines planted in 1902, located in the terroirs of Girardette, Faguerol and Le Piallon, on sandy and safre soils facing north.
Winemaking takes place in traditional concrete vats to preserve the purity of the fruit and reflect the expression of the terroir. The grapes are harvested and selected manually.
The wine has delicate aromas of small red and black fruits, with a predominance of fresh blackcurrants and subtle floral notes. On the palate it is deep, concentrated and airy, with intense flavors of red and black fruit, floral notes and a touch of eucalyptus, with a long, fresh and delicious finish.
It pairs perfectly with roast meat dishes or tasty stews.
