Description

Clos de L'Oratoire des Papes Blanc is a prestigious Chateauneuf-du-Pape originally from the Rhone Valley.

It is a blend of white berried grapes, divided into 30% of Granche Blanc, 30% of Clairette, 30% of Roussane and 10% of Bouboulenc. These grapes come from vineyards in different areas, however united - with the exception of the vineyards of Roussane - by the presence of limestone soils. After a brief maceration on the skins, fermentation and ageing take place inside steel containers.

Straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose reveals its bouquet made of peach, apricot and pear, with some notes of licorice to revive. The mineral flavour stands out, on a balanced background and on the persistence of a spicy trace of white pepper.

To be combined with refined risotto alla marinara.
