Description
The Chateauneuf-du-Pape rouge of Château de Beaucastel is a must have that comes from the beating heart of the Côte Du Rhone.
It consists of 13 different grape varieties: Grenache 30%, Mourvèdre 30%, Syrah 10%, Counoise 10%, Cinsault 5%, Vaccarèse, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc and Roussanne 15%. Each variety is harvested separately from the others and follows its individual path during the vinification. For the Syrah and Mourvèdre varieties there is a fermentation - both alcoholic and malolactic - in oak barrels, while for the remaining varieties this phase takes place in cement tanks. Only after this step is complete, the various batches are assembled and proceed together in the aging process that takes place in Foudres oak barrels for about a year.
At the sight it is ruby red, intense and deep. The olfactory texture unfolds in fruity notes of raspberries, black cherries and cherries in alcohol, notes of aromatic herbs and the distinctive spicy imprint. This returns to the taste, inserted in a full body. Soft and rightly tannic, it closes on persistent cherry tones.
Perfect with a fillet with green pepper.
