Description
Louis Jadot's Chassagne-Montrachet originates in the prestigious Côte des Blancs area, and is known for producing some of the most robust white wines in the region. Using exclusively Chardonnay grapes, these wines are less delicate and more direct than those produced near the Puligny border, highlighting the diversity of the terroir.
The manual harvesting of the grapes in small boxes is followed by delicate pressing and fermentation in oak barriques, a third of which are new, with subsequent aging for 15 months.
Straw yellow in colour, it stands out on the nose for its intense aromas of white pulp fruit, such as peach and apple, combined with notes of brioche and toasted oak. This aromatic richness translates into a structured and complex palate, where the elegance of Chardonnay is expressed through intense flavors and notable minerality.
It is perfect with rich fish dishes, shellfish and delicate cheeses.
