Description

The Chassagne-Montrachet from Château de la Maltroye is an excellent Burgundy white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. In this renowned wine estate located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, the grapes are carefully cultivated and benefit from clay-limestone soils, which give a distinctive minerality and freshness to the wine.

The vinification involves a gentle pressing of the grapes and an aging in oak for 10 months, with careful management of the yeasts to give greater complexity to the wine. This aging technique allows the character of the terroir to be expressed.

In the glass it presents itself with a bright golden color. On the nose it reveals a complex bouquet with aromas of ripe yellow fruit, white flowers and well-integrated woody notes. On the palate it is fresh and mineral, with a nice acidity that gives it great vivacity. The notes of fruit and flowers combine with nuances of vanilla and toasted, creating a balanced and refined profile.

It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, seafood and white meats in creamy sauce.
