Description
Piedmont DOC Chardonnay Costebianche by Luigi Coppo is a wine that expresses the typical nature of its vine, grown in the fertile territory of southern Asti. This area with exposure to the south, south-east and south-west and a clay-limestone marl soil with a significant presence of silt, ideal conditions for Chardonnay.
The harvest, carried out in September, is focused on selecting the healthiest and ripest grapes, guaranteeing a high quality must. A soft pressing follows, after which a part of the must is destined for fermentation and refinement in steel, to preserve the freshness and aroma of the wine, while the remaining part matures in barriques.
Visually it presents itself with an inviting straw yellow color. The nose reveals notes of tropical fruit and pear, which anticipate a fresh and pleasantly savory palate.
It pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, from vegetable aspic and gazpacho to stuffed courgette flowers and sole meunière, capable of enhancing the freshness of the wine.
