Description

The Champagne Extra Brut Les Grandes Crayeres by Laherte Freres is a Blanc de Blancs champagne obtained exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the Cotes de Bars region. This wine is known for its refreshing personality and strong mineral elements, typical characteristics of the chalky soils from which the grapes come.

The winemaking process involves alcoholic fermentation in wooden barrels, followed by maturation on the yeasts for approximately 48 months. This long refinement on the yeasts helps to develop the complexity and aromatic depth of the champagne, giving it an elegant structure and notable tasting persistence.

It has a straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the palate it reveals intense aromas of green apple, lime and lemon, accompanied by delicate sensations of pastry, spices and iodine. The bubbles are fine and persistent, while the taste is fresh and mineral, with a long and pleasantly savory finish.

Perfect to pair with dishes based on fish, shellfish and seafood, this champagne also lends itself to accompanying refined aperitifs and white meat dishes.
