Description

Pierre Legras Champagne Rosé is entirely made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the Chouilly Grand Cru. It is inspired by the Marne river that crosses the Champagne region and whose name derives from the Gallic and carries the meaning of matron, "nursing mother", hence the goddess Matra .

It is obtained from 87% of Chardonnay grapes and the remaining 13% of Pinot Nero grapes, to which is added a part of reserve wines that allow to guarantee continuity to the production style of the maison. The disgorgement is preceded by a stay on the lees for at least 4 years.

It is characterized in the glass by its raspberry pink color, accompanied by an exuberant bubbling of refined bubbles. On the nose, notes of gooseberry and wild strawberry alternate, with references to acacia flowers, peony and chalk. In the mouth its minerality together with its freshness and fleshiness express the richness and elegance of the Chouilly terroir.

Perfect in combination with seafood first courses and a salmon tartare. Try it with a calamari ceviche.
