Description
Champagne Brut AOC Les Folies de la Marquetterie Taittinger takes inspiration from the Château de la Marquetterie, which before the French Revolution was a privileged meeting place for intellectuals and writers.
This Champagne of unique elegance comes exclusively from Chardonnay (45%) and Pinot Noir (55%) grapes grown in the vines surrounding the castle, harvested by hand and of which only the first pressing is used. The ageing, partly in wood, precedes the formation of the cuvée, which rests on the lees for 5 long years in the cellars of Maison Taittinger.
The intense straw yellow colour announces greedy aromas of peach and apricot jam, brioche and vanilla. The palate is caressed by very fine and elegant bubbles, and by a soft and fruity taste with a finish of sweet woods.
A refined and soft Champagne, ideal for complex combinations, even with white meats and grilled fish.
