Description
The Champagne Brut La Grande Dame is the first vintage among the Veuve Clicquot Champagnes. La Grande Dame is dedicated to Madame Cliquot and her love for Pinot Noir. It was launched in 1999 to celebrate the entry into the 2000s.
It is produced with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, coming from 8 Grand Cru vineyards located in Reims, in the heart of the Champagne Ardenne region.
La Grand Dame is characterized by a luminous appearance, a sparkling gold color with intense amber reflections and a fine and light perlage. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of candied fruits such as apricot, fig, mango and date, as well as pastry notes reminiscent of marzipan and tarte tatin. Added to this are aromas of tobacco, dried leaves and mushrooms. On the palate it is fresh, energetic, with a rich and silky consistency.
Perfect to accompany appetizers and aperitifs, it is ideal in combination with fish-based dishes, shellfish, dry desserts and pastries.
