Description
Champagne Minière F&R Franc de Pieds is produced from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, coming from historic vineyards located mainly in Hermonville. The characteristic "Franc de Pieds" indicates that the vines are ungrafted, that is, not grafted onto American roots, a rarity that adds uniqueness to the wine.
The winemaking process of this Champagne Sans Dosage includes fermentation and aging in oak barrels, without malolactic fermentation. This method preserves the natural acidity and freshness of the wine, while aging on the lees for a long period (often more than six years) adds complexity and depth to the flavours. The wine is bottled without dosage, thus expressing its purity and authenticity without added sugar.
On the palate, this Champagne presents a saline attack balanced by the generosity of the fruit and lively acidity. Hints of citrus, yellow fruits and toasted notes emerge, offering an aromatic complexity that culminates in a long and refreshing finish. The aroma is characterized by notes of ripe fruit and undergrowth nuances, which contribute to its elegant structure.
This Champagne is ideal for accompanying fish, seafood or sushi dishes, thanks to its freshness and liveliness which enhance the flavors of the food.
